Clinic support company Aesthetic Response has been certified by Quality Guild (QG) Management Standards after passing the company’s General Data Protection Regulation (GPDR) requirements.
The QG Management Standards is a company that develops standards to assist organisations, who are ‘controllers’ and/or ‘processors’ of personal data, in compliance with the new GDPR requirements.
Having previously secured QG Management Standards’ Cyber Essentials accreditation, Aesthetic Response has now gained certification in compliance with the requirements of the QG-GDPR Management Standard. They are one of only 15 companies to be currently listed on the company’s list of ‘GDPR Certified Companies’.
Cyber Essentials is a government scheme which aims to help businesses protect themselves against cyber attacks, and QC Management Standards are the accrediting body for this scheme.
According to Aesthetic Response, although both the QG-GDPR Management Standard certification and the Cyber Essentials accreditation are optional for the company, Cyber Essentials accreditation is mandatory for all organisations bidding for central government contracts that deal with the handling of personal and sensitive information.
Aesthetic Response’s compliance director, Carla Gilbert, said, “With the support of our security experts, Selcom, and their GDPR certified practitioner, Walter McLean, we have been able to scrutinise each aspect of our business to strengthen policies and procedures while also creating a solid base for future analysis and development. Combined with our ongoing investment in systems and technology, this has given confidence to both our clients and our employees that Aesthetic Response is always proactive in safeguarding the personal data we process.”
