The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) has announced the names of the members on its Practitioner Register Committee.

The primary purpose of the JCCP Practitioner Register Committee is to oversee the development, management, maintenance and implementation of the JCCP Practitioner Register and associated Fitness to Practice (FTP) procedures.

The list of named Practitioner Register Committee members include JCCP members and members of the sector’s wider stakeholder community. Among the list are: Professor Mary Lovegrove, nurse prescriber Andrew Rankin, solicitor and JCCP legal advisor Ben Lambert, independent consultant Diane Hey, CEO of Hamilton Fraser Eddie Hooker, Dr Uliana Gout, JCCP technical advisor Tim Frome, Dr Roshan Ravindran, aesthetic dentist Dr Jalpesh Patel, and cosmetic pharmacist prescriber Nazia Hussain.

The JCCP has officially published its FTP procedures and Code of Practice. According to the JCCP, the FTP was modelled on those developed by the professional statutory regulatory bodies and aims to assist in the effective delivery of patient safety and public protection.

Professor Lovegrove, chair of the JCCP Practitioner Register Committee said, “After a series of interviews and a final meeting of my Committee I am confident that we have succeeded in appointing a wide and representative range of aesthetic professionals and lay members to sit on the Council’s various Fitness to Practice Panels and Committee. These appointments ensure that as many of the key practitioner groups involved in the delivery of aesthetic procedures are represented and that the individuals are of high standing and experience."
