On November 20, London’s GILD Clinic opened its doors to new and existing patients to allow them to explore their interests in skin and injectable procedures.
The event was also open to students studying through the clinic’s sister company, Harley Academy. The company explained that it wanted to dispel the myths and make aesthetics less daunting to the general public.
The evening started with a clinic overview led by aesthetic practitioner Dr Yalda Jamali followed by a skin treatment demonstration by the clinic’s skin advisor Maja Swierczynska. She demonstrated dermaplaning and a chemical peel on a model. Following this, a live demonstration of lip filler administered by Dr Jamali on a second model was performed.
Gina Hutchings, GILD Clinic head of marketing, said of the event, “This was my first open evening with GILD Clinic and I think it’s a really great idea. Injectables, peels and microneedling procedures are growing in popularity but few clinics allow the public to see what it really entails including the aftercare. It can be very scary for people who are new to these kind of treatments. The evening allowed people to explore the range of treatments, their effectiveness and most of all answer their burning questions.”
