Key Opinion Leaders, media representatives and industry personal attended the Global Aesthetics Alliance (GAA) Inaugural Summit at the Tower of London on April 15.
The event was designed to connect different kinds of industry specialists, including KOLs, practitioners and media representatives, to promote interactive scientific and clinical exchange between them.
Plastic surgeon and GAA Summit director Dr Fahd Benslimane, said during his address, “Co-sharing in this meeting is a duty because bringing together key opinion leaders, industry physicians and media reporters is for the benefit and the safety of our patients.”
Delegates found the event to be a rare opportunity to connect with people from different industry backgrounds to get first-hand feedback and interactions to learn from one another.
Dermatologist Dr Tamara Griffiths who attended the event said, “What this summit really highlights is the absence of regulation in the non-surgical cosmetic industry in the UK and the need for groups like the British Association of Dermatologists to collaborate with our plastic surgery colleagues and others to drive forwards for our patients and the public.”
