Doctors, nurses and other aesthetic professionals learnt about dermal filler injection techniques in a session led by Italian plastic surgeon Dr Sebastian Torres at the Intraline Dermal Filler Master Class on March 21 at the Marylebone Hotel, London.
The evening began with a canapés and drinks reception, followed by a presentation from the CEO of Intraline Lifestyle Aesthetics, Reece Tomlinson, who spoke about the company’s bespoke approach to aesthetics.
Tomlinson then introduced Dr Torres, who has performed more than 7,000 aesthetic procedures in Europe and South America. Dr Torres firstly discussed the different techniques to consider when injecting dermal fillers, compared needles and cannulas and discussed the anatomy of the periocular area. He then discussed indications, contraindications and complication management, as well as how male and female beauty differs whilst explaining how to treat each sex. A live dermal filler demonstration followed, where Dr Torres put this theory into practice with a male and female model.
After the event, Tomlinson said he was pleased with the response from those who attended and believed the event achieved what the Intraline team set out to do. He explained, “We wanted to raise awareness of our products, procedures that we can offer and to provide advanced training to our perspective clients.”
Tomlinson added, “I think the event went great – Dr Torres has done work for us in a few different counties, he’s always interesting to listen to. He’s very passionate about what he does which I think is very important; anyone that watches him knows that he really does care about what he is doing, the industry and his techniques.”
Currently, Intraline focuses on producing topical products and three different dermal fillers: Intraline One, Intraline Two and Intraline for Men. The company will be expanding its portfolio and launch a line of PDO threads later in 2016.
