A study conducted by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) found Asia to be the fastest growing market in terms of cosmetic industry spending.
China and India were found to be the leading countries in the growing market of Asia, and the continent is set to overtake Europe for the first time this year, in regard to their spending habits.
It was stated in the report that the top five countries that accounted for the 41.4% of the worlds cosmetic procedures were the US, Brazil, Japan, Italy and Mexico.
Grand View Research also held a study in 2017 focusing on the growth of the cosmetic surgery and procedure market.
They explained, “Asia Pacific is anticipated to be the fastest growing region during the forecast period from 2017 to 2025, owing to the growing demand for cosmeceutical surgeries in Japan, South Korea, India, and China.”
“Growing aesthetic awareness amongst the population and increasing medical tourism in the region due to developing healthcare infrastructure and affordable treatments are likely to propel the market.”
