Dalvi Humzah Aesthetic Training (DHAT) has launched a new skin of colour workshop that aims to equip aesthetic practitioners with the theoretical knowledge to approach treating skin of colour safely.
Among the faculty will be consultant dermatologists Dr Mukta Sachdev and Dr Sandeep Cliff, dermatology nurse Paula Oliver, dermatology nurse specialist, Isabel Lavers, and cosmetic and dermatology nurse practitioner, Anna Baker.
Baker said that she hopes the course will raise awareness surrounding skin of colour assessment in relation to appropriate treatment with aesthetic procedures.
"We are delighted to launch this specialised training course and welcome the high level of expertise from the faculty. Treating skin of colour is a growing sector of the aesthetic market, and as such, clinicians should feel equipped with necessary skills to assess and treat skin of colour safely, as well as prevent and manage complications that can arise," Baker stated.
The workshop will take place on October 21 at The Royal Society of Medicine in London.
