Financial services company SunLife has conducted a study which suggests that there is an increasing amount of Britons over the age of 50 feeling under pressure to stay looking young.

SunLife’s Big 50 study, which interviewed 50,000 people aged 50 and over about their lives and attitudes, found that 45% felt pressure to look young with almost nine in ten said they have actively done something to try and stay fit, healthy and younger looking since reaching the milestone age.

One in 100 admitted to having cosmetic surgery in a bid to stay young, but the most common life change was to start eating more healthily, which 60% of people have done since turning 50.
