Medical systems distributer, SmartMed, a subsidiary of Healthxchange Group, has added the ULTRAcel Q+ device to its product portfolio.
The non-surgical treatment designed to tighten and lift areas of the face and body uses high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to stimulate new collagen growth and tighten the SMAS layer which alternatively can only be treated with surgery, the company explains. The device features a linear-shot HIFU treatment, allowing 300 shots in less than three minutes, as well as cartridges for small and wider treatment areas. SmartMed states that whilst some patients may see some initial effect, the full result will take place over two to six months as the body regenerates new collagen. Launch events, including the UK’s first live demonstrations of ULTRAcel Q+ will take place in London and Manchester early this year. Those wishing to attend are advised to get in touch with Healthxchange as spaces are limited.
