This half a day virtual course is delivered online by Lynton’s experienced trainer and assessor Kirsty Turnbull.

The VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Clinical Aesthetics is a knowledge-based qualification aimed at aesthetic practitioners who need to understand the COVID-19 infection prevention methods required in the working environment in order to maintain high levels of health and safety.

Throughout this qualification, learners will develop knowledge on the importance of social responsibility, the causes, transmission and effects of COVID-19, and the methods used to control transmission, such as correct hand hygiene and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). They will also gain an understanding of the safe working practices required in the clinic environment in order to protect themselves and their patients.

With this OFQUAL regulated qualification, you can give confidence to your customers that they will be treated in a COVID-safe environment. In addition to this, passing this course is now a pre-requisite for progression to further aesthetic qualifications such as the Level 4 qualification in laser and light therapies for hair removal and skin rejuvenation, and the Level 5 laser tattoo removal qualification.
