SkinCeuticals have been selected as finalists in the prestigious 2017 Aesthetic Awards for their revolutionary skincare product H.A. Intensifier.
It has been well established that effective anti-ageing approaches must tackle a dual challenge of continual HA breakdown alongside reduced production in the skin. Whilst HA represents the mainstay ingredient of many cosmeceutical and aesthetic products, challenges remain in finding effective topical formulations which truly penetrate the stratum corneum. Topical HA treatments can improve immediate surface hydration, however clinical evidence suggests they are largely ineffective when it comes to supporting the skin’s natural HA reservoir.
“We are so thrilled to have been shortlisted with H.A. Intensifier. We are really proud of the innovation behind the formula, which contains a combination of fragmented, whole and encapsulated HA, demonstrated to have immediate and sustained hydration, Pro-Xylane, which has been shown to stimulate GAG synthesis and purple rice extract and dipotassium glycyrrhizate, derived from licorice, which have been demonstrated to inhibit hyaluronidase activity.”
