On Wednesday 3rd October 2018, HA-Derma hosted their very first UK industry educational event titled: The Best of Hyaluronic Acid in association with pharmaceutical manufacturer IBSA.
Aesthetic practitioners were invited to attend this one-day education agenda featuring new product launches, presentations, live demonstrations and a networking reception, which took place at Kings Fund in London, and also raised £4000 for Facing The World, a UK charity for children with facial disfigurement.
“The vision behind our very first HA-Derma event was to recognise industry practitioners and ‘give back’ by way of sharing knowledge, education and insight into the background and collaboration between HA-Derma and IBSA. The highlight for us really has been the fact that we have been able to bring the scientist responsible for concepting and developing Profhilo - Prof. Chiara Schiraldi to the event and enable practitioners to interact with her directly and in the process support Facing the World charity - a cause very close to our heart. The fact that our event was the reason for Prof. Chiara Schiraldi’s first visit to the UK was an absolute privilege and the highlight of a successful day,” explains HA-Derma Operations
Director Hana Te Reo.
The event opened with director Iveta Vinklerova welcoming attendees and introducing all of the session expert speakers as well as an overview of HA-Derma & IBSA. Key speakers throughout the day included Tania Pirazzini, IBSA’s Global dermoesthetic business unit manager, Professor Chiara Schiraldi from the University of Naples, UK & Irish national Sales Manager Frank Ward, HA-Derma’s Medical Director Dr Fab Equizi, Dr Gabriel Siquier Dameto who is IBSA’s international KOL, Dr Beatriz Molina and independent nurse prescriber Sharon Gilshenan.
In order to ensure that delegates fully understood the delivery and intricacies of how each of the products worked in practice, many of the experts performed live demonstrations of each of
HA-Derma’s products, including the newly released injectable
Viscoderm Hydrobooster, Profhilo Haenkenium cream, Profhilo
and Aliaxin dermal fillers.
This was tremendously well received, with Dr Shirin Lakhani commenting, “It has been extremely educational and I feel fully informed and educated on all of the products in HA-Derma’s portfolio. The live demonstrations have also been exceptional.”
Marie Duckett also shared, “I thought it was an excellent meeting. The venue was a little gem - it was intimate and yet spacious enough. The speakers were excellent. The right mix of
science and practical information. The live demonstrations were excellent and it was a most enjoyable and informative day.”
The event finished with a canape and champagne reception, offering delegates the opportunity to network and meet with a selection of the HA-Derma approved distribution partners which include Church Pharmacy, Wigmore Medical, Intravita International, Springpharm Ltd., Millennium St. Helens, Mediva in the UK and John Bannon in Ireland.
