  • 2019-01-15 00:00:00 2019-01-16 23:59:59 Europe/London Level 4 Low Level Laser Therapy (Laser Lipo) Course Low Level Laser Therapy (also known as Laser Lipo) utilises that part of the light spectrum where visible red laser diodes give off light penetrating into the subcutaneous layer where the fat cells are, changing the chemical balance within the fat cells which opens the pores in the cell walls to allow the content of the fat cells to “leak” out into the surrounding interstitial space from where it is transported by the lymphatic system to be naturally metabolised by the body and used as energy. This process is non-invasive and safe. It uses an aspect of the body’s natural mechanisms to release stored fat for the body to turn into energy, which, when the client makes the minor lifestyle changes required (diet and exercise) to complete the fat elimination process, provide the “inch loss” from the treatment area. Our LLLT course includes: UNIT 1 Safe and effective methods of working when carrying out treatments: - Health and safety - Data Protection Act - Client modesty, privacy and confidentiality - Hygiene - Sterilisation methods - Equipment set up and Maintenance UNIT 2 Anatomy and Physiology, and other science relevant to the treatment: - What is Low Level Laser Therapy - How Laser Lipo stimulates the release of lipids stored in adipocytes - The role of exercise and a healthy lifestyle UNIT 3 Planning, preparing and consulting client before treatment and understanding the organisational and legal obligations of performing treatments: - Client consultation - Contra indications - Client suitability - Risk and side effects - Realistic expectations - Areas suitable for treatment UNIT 4 Carrying out treatments: - Live Demo and step-by-step - Treatment techniques UNIT 5 Handling equipment and electrical safety: - Importance of wearing goggles throughout treatment - Importance of checking laser pads throughout the treatment UNIT 6 Providing aftercare to the client: - Returning clients and treatment maintenance - Combination treatments Our courses are suitable for Medical professionals and Aesthetic practitioners. • 2019-01-18 00:00:00 2019-01-20 23:59:59 Europe/London Level 4 High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) For Face and Neck Course High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) energy is delivered deep beneath the skin at appropriate temperatures, at three separate chosen levels (4.5mm, 3.0mm and 1.5mm). This heat causes the formation of a series of thermal coagulation points at approximately 1mm cubed. Temperatures between 60 – 70 degrees centigrade lead to collagen denaturation, leading collagen to quickly go about repairing itself. Collagen remodelling, as well as visible changes, can be seen immediately after the treatment but the full benefits are expected to be seen three months after the treatment. This is one of the most popular treatments in the industry as results can last from 1-2 years, leading HIFU to be known as the “non-surgical alternative to the face-lift”.
