Aesthetics reviewing panel

Kimberley Cairns is an integrative psychologist who prioritises education, training and clinical opportunities to address the complex mental health challenges facing the aesthetic and non-surgical cosmetic sector. She is a psychology consultant, and holds numerous privileged positions in the sector including membership of the Aesthetics journal Aesthetics Reviewing Panel.

Dr Kam Lally graduated from the University of Oxford, went on to qualify as a GP and is the Royal College of General Practitioners national aesthetic medicine lead. He is a global KOL for Teoxane, HansBiomed, AlumierMD and Novo Nordisk. In addition to being experienced in injectables, he runs a weight management service in his Aestheticology clinics in Coventry and Birmingham.

Dr Sophie Shotter is an aesthetic doctor with practices in Kent and London. She is a full member and Board Trustee at the British College of Aesthetic Medicine and is a member of the Allergan mentorship programme. Dr Shotter is a key opinion leader for several leading aesthetic companies and is regularly called on to speak and teach.

Dr Shirin Lakhani is a cosmetic practitioner specialising in advanced aesthetic treatments, intimate health and HRT for men and women. Dr Lakhani appears regularly on television and in the press, as well as contributing to articles and speaking at conferences both in the UK and internationally. She is currently involved with the APPG for menopause.

Miss Jennifer Doyle is a consultant oculoplastic surgeon based at The Clinic at Holland Park and at Milton Keynes University Hospital. She has a Bachelor’s in Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery with distinction, as well as a Master’s in Medical Sciences from the University of Oxford. She is the non-surgical lead clinician at the Clinic at Holland Park. She has completed the Level 7 diploma in Injectables and served as a lead trainer for Harley Academy.

Mr Richard Scawn is a consultant ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon based at The Clinic at Holland Park, Harley Street and leads the oculoplastic service at Chelsea & Westminster NHS Trust. He specialises in blepharoplasty, ptosis and eyelid reconstructions for cancer, burns and trauma. He is the founder and surgical lead for The Clinic Holland Park. He is a surgical wet lab instructor in London, Dubai and the US.

Mr James Olding is a full-time specialist registrar in oral and maxillofacial surgery in the NHS and is dual qualified in medicine and dentistry. He is the founder of Interface Aesthetics and was recently awarded The AlumierMD Award for Rising Star of the Year 2023. He is also an international KOL and trainer for Allergan Medical Institute, and a principal investigator in Clinical Research in Aesthetics.

Melanie Recchia is a registered nurse and independent nurse prescriber with 16 years’ experience in aesthetic medicine. She is the director of Alchemy Skin Clinic in Buckinghamshire, and director of Athena Medical Aesthetics Training, providing bespoke aesthetic training.

Rachel Goddard is an experienced medical aesthetics nurse practitioner. She is the clinical director and founder of Rachel Goddard Aesthetics and has specialised in medical aesthetics for 16 years. Her clinic, in Greater Manchester, offers a range of treatments such as dermal fillers, radiofrequency and laser.

Dr Martyn King is a GMC registered doctor and the director of Cosmedic Skin Clinic. He is a recognised expert in the field of cosmetic medicine, national and international accredited trainer, key opinion leader, brand ambassador and has published multiple journal articles. He is a respected conference speaker and demonstrator as well as the medical director of the Aesthetics Complications Expert (ACE) Group World, vice-chair of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP), a member of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) and chairperson for the British Association of Sclerotherapists.
