Distributor Q Medical has become the exclusive UK distributor for B-Lite breast implants.
B-Lite is a lightweight silicone gel breast implant that contains high-purity hollow borosilicate microscopic spheres that aim to reduce the implant’s mass, whilst maintaining its volume. The spheres are spatially fixed within the cohesive silicone gel of the implant, ensuring no migration and a natural feel, the company says.
Q Medical also states that the B-Lite implants are 30% lighter than regular silicone implants, which lessens the stress on the connective tissue in the breast and helps to preserve its shape and appearance.
The B-Lite implants are currently manufactured in round and anatomical shapes.
Plastic and cosmetic surgeon Mr Christopher Inglefield, said of the implants, “The lighter weight of this implant produces less stress on the breast tissue equating to better results, better recovery and a more natural feel.”
