For the second year, the Vascular Birthmark Foundation (VBF) organised the International Congress on
Vascular Anomalies at EVA clinic in Athens on June 7-8.
The conference aims to educate practitioners regarding the latest in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular anomalies.
VBF partnered with global manufacturer of energy-based devices, Candela, and the European Vascular Anomalies clinic (EVA clinic) to provide pro-bono Vbeam pulsed dye laser treatments to children and adults with birthmarks, port wine stains and other vascular related indications at the event.
EVA clinic director, VBF-Europe Medical co-director and maxillofacial surgeon Mr Stavros Tombris said, “I am very proud that, Candela, VBF and EVA clinic were able to combine forces for the benefit of patients with vascular anomalies. We will always be aiming to provide advanced and highly specialised medical services to those affected by vascular lesions, as well as to promote research and further technological advances to enforce our vision.”
