Aesthetics attends BCAM X UNTIL educational evening

The British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) has partnered with health, wellness and practitioner workspace provider UNTIL to host an evening focused on the future of holistic patient care.

Held on February 10 at Brother Marcus, the event brought together leading voices in aesthetics to explore the evolving landscape of patient-centred treatment.

The evening featured talks from aesthetic nurse practitioner Julie Scott, Dr Mayoni Gooneratne and Dr Stephanie Damalis.

Scott discussed the importance of patient psychology and archetypes during consultations, emphasising the need for practitioners to adapt their communication styles to suit each patient type. Dr Gooneratne introduced a clinic-friendly framework linking hormones, metabolic health and skin outcomes, designed to support long-term, wellness-led care – particularly for peri-menopausal and menopausal patients.

Dr Damalis concluded the evening with a discussion on the gut-skin axis. She highlighted the importance of a diverse, plant-rich diet abundant in prebiotics and polyphenols as key to supporting the microbiome and promoting healthier skin.

Seema Parmar, head of memberships at UNTIL, commented, “Aesthetic Alchemy isn’t just another specialty event, it’s about bringing together credible voices and trusted organisations, like BCAM, to explore what’s really shaping patient outcomes. When you convene the right people in the right environment, standards rise and that’s exactly what we’re committed to a UNTIL Canary Wharf.”
