The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) has welcomed consultant plastic surgeon Mr Alastair Graeme Lowrie as its honorary council representative for Scotland.
Mr Lowrie first graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1999, going on to train and practise in Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and more as his surgical career developed. He pursued cosmetic and hand surgery fellowship training in the US, Canada and Europe, before being appointed a consultant plastic surgeon in Tayside in 2012.
BAAPS shares that his career is underpinned by patient safety, ethical practice, appropriate regulation and rigorous training standards.
Mr Lowrie said, “I’m delighted to have been appointed as the honorary BAAPS council representative for Scotland. I’ve been a member of BAAPS for around 10 years, and share their aim of promoting excellence in aesthetic surgery. BAAPS is working for patients in key areas like cosmetic tourism and safety. By helping to raise BAAPS’ profile, providing education and information and increasing membership in Scotland, I hope to help Scottish patients and colleagues.”
