Aesthetic practitioner Dr Tapan Patel has launched the EdiPHI initiative of academic meetings, held at PHI Clinic on Harley Street, London.
According to PHI Clinic, the events are designed to unite aesthetic practitioners to ignite discussions on the latest developments in aesthetic medicine, with synopsises of current research and data. Questions, debates and knowledge sharing are encouraged.
At the inaugural event on April 26, the topic discussed was ‘Beyond Fillers: Future Horizons for Injectable Treatments’. The clinic welcomed speakers Professor Syed Haq who spoke on skin revitalisation using polynucleotides, Mr James Olding who discussed hybrid injectable HArmonyCa and Dr Abs Settipalli who gave a talk on injectable product Sunekos.
Aesthetic practitioner Dr Priya Verma from PHI Clinic commented, “We wanted to launch an initiative which brings together practitioners to debate hot topics in the industry, critically appraise the latest research and more broadly, enable intercollegiate discussion on how we can elevate our clinical practice. EdiPHI aims to promote ‘evidence-based’ rather than ‘eminence-based’ practice, through presentation of the facts and data. These regular monthly sessions offer an intimate, friendly and relaxed environment for colleagues to network and learn, whilst being completely free to attend and open to all aesthetic practitioners.”
The EdiPHI sessions will run fortnightly at PHI Clinic.
