Skincare brand Guinot will sponsor the British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC)’s T.I.M.E Scotland Initiative event at the Scottish Parliament on March 5.
The initiative aims to inform and empower both specialty professionals and consumers, addressing the challenges posed by the lack of regulation in the specialty.
T.I.M.E. Scotland is designed to promote professional standards within the field, ensuring that consumers can make informed choices regarding beauty and advanced aesthetic treatments, according to the company. By providing education and resources, the initiative seeks to establish a more transparent and level playing field for businesses and practitioners.
The event will feature a panel discussion, including BABTAC CEO Lesley Blair, beauty expert Caroline Hirons, Guinot’s managing director Myriam Welsh and Jenny Storey, owner of Urban Retreat and The Academy College. The panel will explore the importance of regulation, consumer awareness and professional development within the sector.
