JCCP appoints three new key opinion leaders

Written by...

The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) has strengthened its leadership in medical aesthetics by announcing three professionals as key opinion leaders (KOLs).

Nurse prescriber Julie Scott, consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon Mr Dalvi Humzah and aesthetic practitioner Dr Patrick Treacy join as ambassadors to support the council’s aim of enhancing standards in the aesthetics sector.

According to the council, Scott will focus on patient safety and advanced injectable training, further elevating the level of care provided by aesthetic professionals. Dr Treacy will uphold ethical standards and advancing education within the field, while Mr Humzah’s expertise will contribute to maintaining clinical safety.

Professor David Sines, chair of the JCCP, commented, “The JCCP has established the role of KOL to enable some of the most influential people in the non-surgical and hair restoration surgery specialisms to sign up to the core values of the JCCP and, where appropriate, to reflect these values in statements, presentations and other interactions with the aesthetic world and media. KOLs are free to determine how and when they wish to support the JCCP. The JCCP will, from time-to-time, request support from KOLs for a particular action, campaign or proposal.”
