On the Scene: Perfectha global production centre, France

Written by...

Ten practitioners from the UK were invited by pharmaceutical company Sinclair Pharma to visit its world centre for Perfectha manufacturing near Lyon in France in July.

They learnt about the development of the Perfectha range of HA dermal fillers, which have been exclusively made in Lyon since 2005, when the brand was owned by Obvieline, before transitioning to Sinclair in 2014.

The site now develops 30,000 syringes per week and is exported globally, with Iran being the biggest market for the product.

Practitioners also learnt about the five different product formulations: Perfectha Fine Lines, Perfectha Derm, Perfectha Deep, Perfectha Subskin and Perfectha Complement and about the company’s visions for new product developments in the future.

Nurse prescriber Sharon Bennett, who attended the visit, said of her experience, “We have had a fabulous time learning and discovering the complicated process of making hyaluronic acid gels for facial aesthetics. Understanding how fillers are made, what is unique about each one and what gives them all different capabilities in the skin.”
