The British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN) has introduced nurse prescribers Amy Bird and Alexandra Mills as its new chair and vice-chair.

Following the BAMAN board meeting on February 26, the association confirmed Bird as BAMAN chair and Mills as BAMAN vice-chair. BAMAN shared that Bird’s role as chair will be to provide strategic leadership and chair board meetings. The association further explain that Mills’ role as vice-chair is to support governance and strategy implementation, acting as a liaison between the board, sub-committees and members.

Bird commented, “I am honoured to take on the role of chair at BAMAN and excited to lead our association into 2025 and beyond. My priority is to ensure that BAMAN continues to be the leading voice for medical aesthetic nurses, championing patient safety and professionalism at the heart of everything we do. I want to acknowledge the incredible leadership of Sharon Bennett, whose dedication and vision have helped establish BAMAN as the trusted organisation it is today.”

Mills also commented, “I am thrilled to take on the role of vice-chair at BAMAN and to support Amy and the board in delivering real value to our members. Thank you to Sharon King for all you achieved as BAMAN’s previous vice-chair. Our profession is evolving rapidly, and BAMAN is here to ensure that our nurses are supported, recognised and equipped for success. I look forward to working closely with you all to make a meaningful impact.”
