Aesthetic device manufacturer, Solta Medical Ltd, has released the Thermage FLX system, a radiofrequency device designed to tighten skin. The company explains that the heating effect tightens existing collagen while also stimulating the production of new collagen.
The system features a new energy algorithm AccuREP, designed to measure and tune the amount of energy delivered to the treatment area. It also features a new vibrating handpiece and a larger treatment tip, which Solta states shortens treatment time by 25%.
According to the company, results appear gradually in the two to six months following a single treatment session and can last for one to two years depending on the patient’s skin condition.
The company claims that the Thermage FLX is the only single treatment radiofrequency skin tightening device in the UK, as well as the only FDA-approved system to treat the eyelid.
