The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) has appointed consultant plastic surgeon Ms Nora Nugent as its new president.
Ms Nugent has experience in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, serving as a consultant plastic surgeon since 2012. Previously, she held the role of vice president of BAAPS and is the current president of the European Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ESAPS). Her areas of expertise include facial aesthetics, breast surgery and body contouring.
In her new role, Ms Nugent aims to build on BAAPS’s efforts in patient safety and education, emphasising international collaborations to enhance training standards.
She commented, “It is a pleasure and an honour to take over the Presidency of BAAPS. As well as continuing our work on patient safety, I will also be focusing on the health benefits of aesthetics, BAAPS support development and continuing our international collaborations.”
