Dr Eithne Brenner takes us through her journey from GP to aesthetic practitioner
Dr Eithne Brenner is a Dublin-based aesthetic practitioner and clinical trainer who is passionate about injectables and teaching. Dr Brenner was born and raised in Waterford, Ireland. As a child, her mother was a nurse at the local hospital, and she would bring home syringes and tubing for her and her siblings to play with. She says, “We would fill up the syringes with water and squirt them toward each other. There wasn’t as much health and safety back then compared to today!”
As a teenager, Dr Brenner worked alongside her mother at the same hospital, doing domestic work. Watching her mother’s compassionate care, applying lipstick to patients and offering them hugs, instilled a passion for helping others and inspired her future vocation. Dr Brenner decided to follow her nurturing instinct and move to University College Cork to study medicine, qualifying in 1989.
