Dr Pamela Benito shares how her personal experience with atopic dermatitis fuelled her passion for medical aesthetics
Dr Pamela Benito is a London-based aesthetic practitioner and Teoxane trainer, who integrates her medical background with a focus on skincare and non-invasive treatments. Dr Benito, born and raised in Madrid, spent most of her academic years there. Her battle with atopic dermatitis sparked her interest in skincare and nutrition, initially leading her towards dermatology.
However, due to fear of disappointment in never finding a permanent solution for her dermatitis, and her loss of faith in dermatologists during her youth, she decided to pursue Dental Surgery at Alfonso X Elsabio University in Madrid, qualifying in 2006. “One of the things I am obsessed with is people’s smiles. I want to help people feel better, happier and more confident – especially because that was my challenge growing up,” she says.
