Skincare company AlumierMD invited Aesthetics to its unveiling of two retinol products on October 15 in Shoreditch, London.
The event introduced the IntelliRET 0.5+ and 1.0+ products, adding to the 0.3+ that launched in February this year, as they shared that the IntelliRET series is supported by the brand’s proprietary Intelligent Retinol technology. The product additionally features niacinamide – aiming to reinforce the skin barrier and a matrix-supporting peptide to enhance the skin barrier.
Adding to this, the company introduced new packaging across its portfolio of products, aiming to encapsulate the benefits of each product at a glance. Designed with a clearer, benefit-led messaging, AlumierMD outlines the redesigned packaging will answer what it is, what it does and who it is suitable for.
Speaking on the new product launches, AlumierMD key opinion leader and aesthetic practitioner Dr Tom Kamal commented, “Pollution, UV and lifestyle stressors can all compromise the skin barrier and make traditional retinol use feel more sensitising. However, faced with today’s environmental threats, retinol needs to be applied regularly to support consistent cellular signalling – helping to optimise its function and address the cumulative structural damage that often begins in younger years. A reduced tolerance to traditional high-strength vitamin A treatments is often mainly due to impaired barrier function, which is a common characteristic of modern-day skin.”
