Aesthetic educational platform Consulting Room has partnered with the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) and cosmetic insurer Hamilton Fraser to launch a new safety campaign.
Consulting Room shares that the initiative aims to provide patients with essential information on making safe and informed decisions when choosing an aesthetic practitioner. The Safety In Aesthetics campaign plans to raise awareness about the importance of choosing qualified, accredited professionals for cosmetic procedures.
The platform advises individuals to choose practitioners registered with recognised organisations like the JCCP. The campaign also educates patients on risks posed by untrained practitioners and empowers them to assess professionals’ credentials confidently.
The JCCP reached out to the Aesthetics Journal, commenting, “Ensuring patient safety is fundamental to ethical aesthetics. The JCCP endorses Consulting Room’s Safety in Aesthetics initiative, providing healthcare professionals with expert guidance, resources and a supportive network. Subscribing is a step towards demonstrating a commitment to safe, ethical practice and specialty integrity.”
