Aesthetic device company Endolift has debuted its Endolift Badge programme to tackle counterfeit laser fibre devices.
This comes after a 250% rise in dupe devices this year alone, according to Endolift. The company’s badges will feature unique spot-UV printing, giving the Endolift logo a slightly raised texture. It will also feature a QR code which patients can scan to ensure their treatment is being conducted using a genuine Endolift device. The reverse side of the badge features space for practitioners to fill in their credentials, further proving authenticity.
Marco Bottone, Endolift distributor, commented, “Endolift is a strictly medical procedure, akin to surgical treatments, and should only be performed by certified practitioners. Since launching this innovative technology in the UK, there has been a concerning increase in counterfeit devices. This has resulted in severely injured patients believing they have undergone an authentic Endolift procedure, while being treated with counterfeit devices and by practitioners not affiliated with Endolift.”
