Skincare and device distributor AesthetiCare is hosting an online ‘Menopause and Skin’ event on September 16, covering what happens to the skin during and after menopause, and how practitioners can approach the topic with patients.
The event will be run by dermatologist Dr Emma Wedgeworth, and Rebecca O’Brien, business development and training manager at AesthetiCare.
The company explains that the webinar will cover issues such as how to openly talk about menopause with patients, what the lesser known symptoms are that they may be experiencing and the best approaches to treating skin affected by menopause.
Rebecca Walton, director of sales and training at AesthetiCare, commented, “We’re really excited to be running this event with Dr Emma Wedgeworth. So many women are unaware of the changes that happen within their skin before, during and after menopause and many still find it a difficult topic to broach. We’re delighted to help raise awareness of these changes, and to help encourage open conversations with clients and among peers.”
