Aesthetic device company Lynton has launched two aesthetic qualifications
to provide access for newcomers and essential knowledge for practitioners in
laser and light treatments.
The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies is applicable
to individuals without traditional beauty qualifications, offering comprehensive
training in skin and body basics, consultation, electrical science, health and safety,
and more. It is also open to qualified medical professionals entering the aesthetics
specialty, explains the company.
The qualification features an 80% online learning component, covering
foundational theory topics, with the remaining 20% involving practical
assessments at the Lynton Training Academy in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.
The Level 4 Core of Knowledge qualification is a requirement for laser and light
practitioners, covering the fundamentals of laser and light devices, from properties
of light, laser classification, risk assessment and the roles of Laser Protection
Advisors (LPA) and Supervisors, notes Lynton.
In addition to the one-day Core of Knowledge University of Manchester course,
this new qualification includes a half-day tutorial session prior to a multiple-choice
examination taken online.
Kirsty Turnball, course leader and training academy
manager at Lynton, said, “This Level 3 Access course is the first true pathway for
individuals without traditional beauty qualifications to enter the aesthetics industry.
Backed by Lynton’s award-winning training, it’s a game-changer for those seeking
a reputable and comprehensive start in the field of aesthetics.”
