Skincare brand Obagi Medical has announced that its CLENZIDERM M.D. Pore Therapy toner is now available in the UK without the need for a prescription, following a reformulation of the product.
The updated solvent system maintains the product’s clinical potency while enabling clinics to retail it more easily, and patients to incorporate it into daily skincare routines, according to the company.Obagi Medical explains that clinical evaluation has reported improvements including smoother-looking skin, reduced blemish severity and lower oiliness.
The reformulation comes after the product was updated to meet cosmetic classification standards. The company explains that the clinically developed toner contains 2% salicylic acid and is designed to target acne-causing bacteria, control excess sebum and help unclog pores.
