Spring Thread, a suspension thread designed to treat face and body ptosis, which is produced by French manufacturer 1st SurgiConcept, has launched in the UK.
According to the manufacturer, the Spring Thread consists of a silicone matrix that provides elasticity and flexibility and has a polyester helix core to provide resistance and control of the elasticity. As it made of inert materials, the company claims that it doesn’t provoke an inflammatory response.
The Spring Thread features rounded cogs pointing in four directions with 24 cogs per centimetre and is suitable for patients from 35-70 years. The company states that results can last from three to five years.
The thread can be inserted non-surgically by advanced aesthetic practitioners using similar techniques as other thread brands, and by surgeons intraoperatively.
Spring Thread is exclusively distributed in the UK and Ireland by Mesostrata Ltd and is also available through SpringPharm.
Director of Mesostrata, Daniel Smith, commented, “We’re delighted to introduce Spring Thread to the UK market as we believe patients want results that look natural and last a very long time, but without hosptilisation. That’s now possible with Spring Thread.”
