Skincare company The Skin Diary has launched vitamin C formulation Pro-Helix C.
The company shares that the patent-pending vitamin C complex combines a stabilised 15% THDA vitamin C system, 1% acetyl zingerone and 5% collagen peptide complex. The ingredients aim to target multiple pathways associated with visible skin ageing – including oxidative stress, collagen decline, extracellular matrix deterioration and chronic inflammatory signalling, according to The Skin Diary.
Additionally, the company notes that the formulation significantly increased fibrillin deposition in human skin, aiming to create an optimised environment for healthy collagen synthesis.
Dr Clare Kiely, consultant dermatologist and co-founder of The Skin Diary, commented, “We started with the biology of ageing skin; mapping the pathways that drive structural decline, then selecting a highly stable, well-researched form of vitamin C and pairing it with complementary actives designed to work across those same pathways. Pro-Helix C is the result – a next-generation, biology-led approach to vitamin C, designed around the complexity of ageing skin itself.”
