Telecommunications company BT has announced it will be switching off traditional phone lines in 2025 as they no longer meet demand.
Any businesses in the UK who continue to operate on traditional Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) telecommunications lines will be affected. The changes are being driven by the current infrastructure and running equipment are becoming scarce to repair.
Fluid Network Solutions Ltd, a telecommunications company, explains that their resources allow businesses to record calls and use Voice Over Internet Protocol (IP) in which users can use the internet to make calls, reducing costs in the long term, which traditional phone lines are currently unable to do.
Dan Parker, general sales manager at Fluid Network Solutions, commented, “This will be a critical time for any aesthetic clinics who rely on their telephone system to ensure a smooth and efficient day to day working environment. Clinics should already be planning their upgrade to Voice Over IP to minimise downtime in the future. We pride ourselves at Fluid as having the knowledge and experience to advise businesses on how to get the best from their telecommunications systems in the coming years.”
