The BAS is the only professional association for foam and microsclerotherapy practitioners in the UK and Ireland, attracting as members vascular surgeons and physicians, aesthetic doctors and nurses, dermatologists and specialist venous nurses.

nEstablished in 2003, the main aim is to raise and maintain standards of responsible, evidence based practice. To this end, the BAS sponsors conferences and workshops to promote continued professional development and peer networking, gives members access to information on training, conferences and research papers, and offers guidance and support to members, the public, media and allied health professionals.
