Aesthetic supplier 4T Medical has added new light therapy treatment Lumixa to its portfolio.
The company explains that Lumixa is a phototherapy treatment which uses fluorescent light energy technology (FLE). It consists of a topical gel that is applied to the skin and activated under a professional LED light. Unlike traditional LED, FLE simultaneously covers the entire spectrum in the different layers of the skin, to repair and regenerate skin at the cellular level, notes 4T Medical.
The range consists of two products for a targeted treatment. Lumixa Skin Normaliser targets inflammation and the first signs of ageing, whilst Lumixa Collagen Booster targets ageing and stimulates fibroblasts and collagen production by up to 700%, according to the company.
Benefits can be seen after the first treatment, however, a course of five weekly treatments is recommended, promoting lasting results with improvements 12-15 weeks post-treatment, adds the company. The treatment can also be combined with other modalities like skin boosters, dermal fillers, microneedling and hydrodermabrasion.
Managing director at 4T Medical, Julien Tordjmann, said, “We are very excited to have launched Lumixa Fluorescent Light Energy treatment in the UK. Lumixa acts through photobiomodulation which uses light stimuli to activate the biological processes and regeneration mechanisms of the skin. The patented phototherapy gel is simply applied to the skin and activated by a particular wavelength generated by LED light devices commonly available on the UK market.”
4T Medical will be exhibiting at CCR on October
