Shannon Kilgariff has been promoted to Deputy Editor at Aesthetics.
The news comes following Chloé Gronow’s move to Editor & Communications Manager, after the retirement of long-standing Editor, Amanda Cameron.
Kilgariff completed a Bachelor of Journalism and Arts (Writing and Creative Communications) at the University of South Australia and has experience in television, radio and print journalism. She joined Aesthetics as a journalist in 2016, before being promoted to Senior Journalist in 2017.
Kilgariff said, “While working in the aesthetics specialty for the last three and a half years I have become absolutely fascinated by how it is growing and developing. I am privileged to have met and worked with many practitioners and industry professionals who are pivotal to the progress of the field and I am thrilled to be able to assist in furthering standards and education in the sector through my new Deputy Editor position at Aesthetics.”
Gronow added, “I am delighted that Shannon has accepted this position; a role that I have loved for the past three years and one that I am positive she will thrive in, thanks to her enthusiasm for all things aesthetics, fresh ideas and keen attention to detail. Shannon is a key member of the team, responsible for reporting all the latest aesthetic news and working closely with our contributors to produce high-quality content for the journal and website. In her new role, Shannon will work alongside me to ensure editorial standards are upheld, as well as building new relationships with our valued contributors and clients.”
