Medical-grade skincare brand AlumierMD has introduced a new at-home exfoliating mask to its portfolio.
The Refining Clay Mask contains a blend of clay and exfoliating ingredients including papain, lactic acid, bentonite and kaolin. The ingredients aim to remove dead skin cells and promote skin renewal whilst clearing trapped sebum. The result is a reduction in the appearance of blemishes and excess oil, whilst soothing and maintaining hydration, explains AlumierMD.
In a new in-clinic study, the mask was found to give a visibly brighter glow after one application. The study was conducted on 18 patients, Fitzpatrick skin types I-VI, ranging in age from 28-66. Patients’ skin was cleansed using AlumierMD’s Purifying Gel Cleanser and were placed in a VISIA imaging device for assessment. Results included a 78% improvement in spots, 41% improvement in texture and 16% improvement in redness.
Dermatologist Dr
Sonia Khorana said, “The powerful exfoliation properties make Refining Clay
Mask the perfect mask to both prep for in-clinic peels and maintain results
after treatment. The clinical results were seen after just one use, and
therefore the possibility for enhanced, balanced skin with further treatment is
an exciting one.”
