Conquering Complications event to be held in Dublin

Written by...

Aesthetic practitioners Dr Patrick Treacy, Dr Lee Walker, Dr Steven Harris and pharmacist Gillian Murray are set to present at a complications-focused training event in Dublin.

According to the practitioner-led organisers The A List, ‘Conquering Complications’ will be an in-depth event covering preventing, diagnosing and managing aesthetic complications to boost practitioners’ confidence in their practice. The agenda will cover injectable-related complications, risk-assessing disease and contraindications in aesthetics, the role of antibiotics/steroids and the use of ultrasound in aesthetic procedures. The day’s host is set to be Aesthetics’ own editor and event manager Shannon Kilgariff.

Lisa Waring, aesthetic nurse and event organiser, said, “Complications can happen to even the most experienced injectors, myself included. Adequate training is key to patient safety, and whilst there are plenty of courses to ensure we are trained in treatments, there is a lack of training on what to do if things go wrong. Conquering Complications will help practitioners overcome the fear of complications, and provide the knowledge to confidently deal with any issues that might arise.”

The event will be held on June 16 at The Alex Hotel, Dublin.
