Aesthetic practitioner Dr Patrick Treacy has released a new book on complications.
Prevention and Management of Aesthetic Complications discusses choice of product, improper injection technique resulting in nodule formation, surface irregularities, overcorrection and asymmetry.
Each chapter focuses on a different treatment complication such as those caused by botulinum toxin, ablative lasers, perioral, nasal, periorbital, temporal, peels and radiofrequency microneedling as well as topics on thread lifting, hyaluronidase and hyperpigmentation, ultrasound imaging and case reports.
Dr Treacy said, “For
the first time, here is a book from more than 20 world experts, including
aesthetic practitioner Dr Beatriz Molina, Dr Martyn King and plastic surgeon Mr
Taimur Shoaib, covering all aspects of aesthetic medicine including toxin,
fillers, threads, lasers and problems relating to specific anatomical regions.
The authors hope this book may be of value to all young practitioners who are
wondering what career path to follow.”
