The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) has formally
approved the University of Manchester as a new education and
training provider.
The approval is for the University’s Post Graduate Diploma/MSc in Skin
Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine with specific regard to dermal fillers
and injectable toxins. This has now been added to the JCCP’s Register
of Approved Qualifications.
The University of Manchester is now entitled to display the JCCP
charter marks in accordance with JCCP protocol.
Professor David Sines, chair and registrar of the JCCP, said, “In
recent years, we have seen a significant growth in the number and
types of non-surgical cosmetic procedures. The JCCP and Cosmetic
Practice Standards Authority (CPSA) have worked closely with the
Government and regulatory authorities in England to achieve legally
enforceable governance arrangements for the cosmetic sector.
The University of Manchester has for many years demonstrated its
commitment to evidence-based research, education and clinical
excellence. The JCCP is therefore privileged and delighted to
have been requested to approve the University’s postgraduate
programme in Aesthetic Medicine.”
