On November 25 and 26, HA-Derma, IBSA’s UK and Ireland exclusive distributor and training provider, invited practitioners to St George’s University Hospital in London for a training session on full facial anatomy and dissection.
The two-day event was led by consultant orthopaedic surgeon Mr Ansar Mahmood, consultant maxillofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon Mr Jeff Downey and aesthetic practitioner Dr John Tanqueray. The range of topics covered included understanding of anatomy to optimise injection techniques, danger zones, live dissections and discussions of techniques for the upper third, middle third and lower third of the face.
The delegates were also given the opportunity to undergo hands-on sessions, under supervision, to improve their skills whilst using the company’s portfolio of products including Aliaxin, Profhilo and Viscoderm Hydrobooster.
The feedback from all delegates was excellent, according to HA-Derma. Nurse prescriber Clare McLoughlin from Appearance Based Medicine Ltd said, “This weekend has been the best educational hands-on training I have experienced in 20 years of working and injecting in medical aesthetics with extremely well thought through agenda.”
HA-Derma is planning workshops for 2020.
