OxygenRx debuts AI scribe

Clinical operating system company OxygenRx has introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant to its prescribing platform.

The company shares the OxygenRx AI Scribe tool is designed to capture consultations by listening to the dialogue and automatically generating a written transcript of the appointment.

According to OxygenRx, tasks that would traditionally require prescribers to manually re-enter information into consultation or assessment forms, such as weight management questionnaires, can now be completed automatically based on what is discussed during the consultation.

Lara Young, commercial lead at OxygenRx, commented, “Prescribers tell us the administration is what drains them, not the medicine. The AI Scribe listens to the consultation, writes the note and fills in the form, allowing clinicians to focus on the patient rather than the keyboard. It’s the feature that generates the strongest reaction in every demonstration.”
