Plant-based exosome treatment makes UK debut

Written by...

Plant-based exosome treatment EXO|E has made its UK debut at S-Thetics clinic in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.

According to the company, EXO|E uses plant derived extracellular nanoparticle (PDEN) technology to rejuvenate and revitalise the skin through peptides, growth factors, liposomes and amino acids. The bio-based patented technology helps the skin’s signalling pathways to rebalance with the PDENs (the plant version of human exosomes) and target inflammation, according to EXO|E.

The EXO|E treatment comprises of D|TOX skin preparation, the EXO|E exosome serum itself and the post-treatment RE|PAIR serum.

A series of in vitro studies performed on human dermal epithelial cells show use of the product can increase collagen production by 165%, increase elastin by 891% and increase the secretion of hyaluronic acid by 198%.

Aesthetic practitioner, Miss Sherina Balaratnam of S-Thetics, commented, “I am excited to be the first clinic in the UK and Europe and one of the first globally, outside of the US, to introduce the UK’s first completely plant-derived exosome product. This is only the second skincare system I have introduced to my clinic after eight years, illustrating the depth and breadth of the robust science, clinical validation and manufacturing processes behind EXO|E.”
