The Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) is set to host a multidisciplinary conference titled Facial Aesthetics: A Holistic Approach.
Organised by consultant orthodontist Mr Farhad Naini and hosted by the Section of Odontology, the event will take place on September 18, and will examine current approaches to facial aesthetic analysis and treatment. The programme will cover a range of topics within the field, focusing on the relationship between scientific evidence and clinical practice.
Discussions will address ethical considerations and professional responsibilities in medical aesthetics, particularly in relation to patient safety and the influence of commercial factors. A key area of focus will be the evaluation of facial soft tissue, both at rest and in motion, to support a more comprehensive approach to patient assessment and treatment.
