ZO Skin Health launches new clarifying serum

Medical-grade skincare company ZO Skin Health, distributed in the UK exclusively by Wigmore Medical, has debuted the new Complexion Clarifying Serum.

The company explains that the serum is designed to treat combination, oily and blemish-prone skin with its sebum-targeting ingredients. It minimises excess sebum production and reduces redness, according to ZO Skin.

The product contains ZO sebum-targeting complex (rosa canina, eugenia uniflora leaf and syringa vulgaris extracts) to promote a healthy skin microbiome; water-soluble salicylic acid to decongest the skin; and ZO-RRS2 and ZPOLYTM plant stem cell and polysaccharide complexes to soothe visible redness.

A six-week, third-party evaluation of 43 patients saw a 21% reduction in sebum and shine; a 12% reduction in visible pore size; and a 24% reduction in facial redness.

Dr Zein Obagi, founder of ZO Skin Health, commented, “Reduce the sebum, acne disappears. Reduce the sebum, rosacea disappears. Reduce the sebum, melasma disappears!”
