The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) has appointed aesthetic practitioner Dr Natasha Verma as chair for the Education and Training Committee.
The JCCP shares that Dr Verma brings extensive experience across medical aesthetics, postgraduate education and educational governance. Her background includes developing accredited qualifications, overseeing quality assurance processes and supporting the delivery of high educational and professional standards.
Dr Verma said, “I support stronger regulation of medical aesthetics because patients deserve to know what they can expect from the practitioner treating them. Practitioners deserve equal clarity about the training, supervision and support they need as they take on more complex work. As chair, I will lead the Committee’s work to define what competence looks like for each procedure and how practitioners can demonstrate it. That gives our sector a sound basis for progress, as treatments evolve, the education and safeguards behind them must keep pace.”
