A new study has revealed the content of hypochlorous in Clinisept+ cleansing solution in comparison to a competitor.

The company explains that samples from Clinisept+ and a competitor were sent to the Oxford Materials Characterisation Service for spectroscopy analysis to identify its components.

The results revealed that Clinisept+ contains 90% hypochlorous and 10% hypochlorite, compared to 37% hypochlorous and 63% hypochlorite in the alternative product. According to the company, 90% hypochlorous content heightens the efficacy and skin compatibility of the solution.

Ross Walker, commercial director at Clinisept+ said, “We are delighted that Clinisept+ has made such a huge contribution to improving patient safety in aesthetics. Practitioners need to know that there are now many hypochlorous products on the market which simply do not deliver the same antimicrobial performance or skin safety as Clinisept+.”
